TERMS AND CONDITIONS

GOODS AND SERVICES TAX
As an input taxed supply, No GST is charged for our accommodation services.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Upon receipt of a completed "Booking Application Form" and payment of 50% Deposit, your stay is confirmed. A receipt will be forwarded to your email or postal address.

PRE-ARRIVAL PAYMENT
This is the balance of the Total Amount Payable after payment of the confirmation deposit and is due 2 weeks before your arrival.

PAYMENT METHOD
Payments within Australia and from Overseas can be made with VISA, MasterCard and AMEX credit cards.

For Credit Card payment you may use our secure on-line payment system (secured by SSL encryption). A secure link will be provided to you by email at the time of confirmation of your booking.

Payments within Australia can also be made by Funds Transfer to our bank using the following details:

Please email details of your bank transfer including date, amount and reference. We will confirm your booking on receipt of your funds.

We do not recommend payment by Funds Transfer from Overseas. A Funds Transfer originating outside Australia generally takes between 3 to 10 working days and involves significant cost. Your booking cannot be confirmed until payment is received into our account. If this method of payment is used please ensure that all the above information including the Swift Code is given to your bank.

CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT
We will meet you at the apartment, at a time to be confirmed prior to arrival. Check in time is between 2:00PM and 7:00PM and check out time is 10:00AM. However, providing the apartment is available, we will be happy to give access to the apartment at no extra cost for early arrivals or late departures.

LATE ARRIVALS
If you are anticipating arriving out of the business hours of 9:00AM to 7:00PM, please contact us and advise your approximate time of arrival, so prior arrangements can be made. Should you be delayed, please ensure to call: 0422 217 744

CLEANING AND LINEN
Our properties are set up with a "starter kit" of cleaning products and include linen/towels and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a additional "one-off" linen/clean at the end of your stay. Please note that the apartment should be left in a reasonable manner (for example dishes & cookware should be washed and put away) or you may be charged for extra cleaning.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
Our properties are presented to the highest standard and we want them to stay this way. A $ 500 security deposit is held to cover any additional cleaning, excessive power use, damage or loss of equipment and accessories in the apartment. Unless there is a claim, the security deposit is refunded within one week of departure. Please rest assured that this is your money and will be refunded in full providing, as our guest, you do the right thing.

In the event of a claim for additional charges such as extra cleaning, breakages or damage to the property, we are authorised to deduct this from your security deposit. If the security deposit is insufficient to cover the additional charges we are authorised to recover from your credit card or other sources.

CANCELLATION BY CUSTOMER AND REFUND POLICY
Your deposit, less $100.00 administration fee, is fully refundable up to one calendar month prior to your arrival date. The tariff for bookings cancelled after that time is only refundable, less $100 administration fee, if a substitute booking can be found for the property on the same dates.

CANCELLATION BY US AND REFUND POLICY
We reserve the right to cancel any booking before or during your stay. Should this occur, we will either provide a full refund for the remainder of your stay, or move you to an alternative apartment of a similar standard. If damages occur and/or the terms and conditions are breached, then the you may be asked to leave. In this case, no refund will be provided and damage charges will be levied

ELECTRICITY
The rental amount includes the reasonable consumption of electricity and gas during your stay. In the interests of the environment please ensure lights and air conditioning is switched off when leaving the premises. We reserve the right to deduct excessive use of energy from the security deposit.

INSURANCE
We highly recommend, at the time of booking, you purchase a travel insurance policy of your choice to cover any unforeseen circumstances. By confirming this booking you declare to be covered by your own personal insurance for direct or indirect injuries or theft/loss to your belongings that may occur in the apartment. You will not have any claim against St Kilda Stays™ Pty Ltd arising out of the above.

KEYS
Keys to your property can be collected at the property on arrival, time to be arranged. Should keys or remote controls be lost a replacement fee of $200.00 is applicable and will be deducted from the deposit.

CAR PARKING
Some of our properties have car parking; please confirm on booking, charges may apply.

PERSONAL PROPERTY
St Kilda Stays Pty Ltd cannot take responsibility for your personal property (Please see Insurance above). Under the health regulations, pets are NOT permitted on or inside premises under any circumstances.

QUIET ENJOYMENT
The apartment is available for your enjoyment however please be considerate of your neighbours in adjacent apartments. In the event that you make unreasonable noise or behave in an inappropriate way, your stay maybe be terminated immediately and the balance of your accommodation tariff will be forfeited. Please note there is a strict "No Party" policy for all our properties.

CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
We accept bookings in good faith and as such we cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control.

SMOKING
All our apartments have balconies or outdoor areas. We request that as a courtesy to other guests you refrain from smoking in the apartment and use outdoor areas. An additional cleaning/deodorising fee of $200 will apply for smoking in an apartment.

WIFI BROADBAND
A wireless broadband service is available on request for use with your lap top or mobile device. Speed up to max. 1024kbps and weekly up/download limit of 3GB. This service is ideal for email and web-browsing. Please ensure you request this service at the time of making your booking.

Please Note: Download of large files, video or music may exceed up/download limits resulting in excess usage charges that will be deducted from your security deposit. Excess usage is charged at $ 15 per 1 Gb.

A guide to download sizes is provided as follows:

  • Downloading a movie average data used is 1.4-1.5 Gb per movie
  • Downloading music 5-10 Mb per song
  • Skype (Voice and Video) 5 Mb per minute
  • Streaming videos i.e. You Tube 300-400 Mb per 5 minutes
